Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Prepare the Coating:
Skip this step if making roasted pecans. Add the vanilla extract, light brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, salt, and water in a medium bowl. Mix well to combine.
Coat the Pecans:
Add the raw pecan halves to the bowl.
Stir until all pecans are evenly coated with the sugar mixture.
Arrange in the Air Fryer:
Place a piece of parchment paper at the bottom of the air fryer basket.
Spread the coated pecans in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air Fry:
Cook the pecans for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
Check for doneness and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes if needed, but be careful not to burn them.
