Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • ½ cup Confectioner's sugar icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semi-sweet baking chocolate or chocolate chips
  • Decoration
  • Valentine's sprinkles to decorate

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla, salt, and flour; mix into dough.
  • Roll out dough to 0.5 cm thick. Cut with heart-shaped cutters and place on a lined tray.
  • Preheat oven to 160°C fan / 180°C conventional. Bake 10-12 minutes; cool completely.
  • Melt chocolate in 30-second intervals in the microwave.
  • Dip cookies in chocolate, decorate with sprinkles, and let set for 20-30 minutes.
