How to make the Air Fryer Apples

Prepping the Apples

  1. Wash your apples. I left the core of mine out – This recipe is meant to be quick and easy! You can, however, remove the core of your apples.
  2. Slice them into wedges or rings, according to your preference. I went with slices!

Seasoning

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon. You can add more spices or skip them totally!
  2. For a sweet twist, you can drizzle honey or maple syrup.

Air Frying

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes
  2. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Pro Tips for a Perfect and crispy air Fried Apples

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Feel free to experiment with other spices like allspice or ginger for different flavors.
  • Use a rack if you have one to space it out.
  • Aim for a similar size to prevent the thinner part from burning!

Can I use any type of apple for this recipe?

Firm apples like Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji are excellent for air frying as they retain their shape.

Do I need to peel the apples?

It’s entirely up to you! The skin adds extra fiber, but you can peel them if you prefer. I left the skin on and love the taste. It was, however, tough for my 2-year-old son to munch on. The second batch I made, I peeled the skin, and he absolutely loved this version!
