How to make Air Fryer Crispy Peas

Step 1: Get your ingredients ready. If using frozen peas, thaw the peas using either of the following methods.

  1. In a colander (sieve) add the frozen peas and place them under running water for 30 seconds. This is my go-to method of thawing my frozen peas.
  2. Place the frozen peas in a bowl and place them in a microwave. Depending on the quantity of the frozen peas, it can take about 1 – 5 minutes. For 1/2 cup of peas, it will take about 1 minute to completely defrost in the microwave.
  3. Thaw the frozen peas by leaving them out of the freezer – This can take about 30 – 60 minutes.

Step 2: In a bowl, add the seasoning to the frozen peas and give it a gentle mix to evenly mix the seasoning and peas together.

Step 3: Preheat your Air fryer to 170 for 3 minutes

Step 4: Add the mixed peas to the air fryer – no need to spray the basket if you already add oil to the peas. Make sure not to overcrowd them to ensure even cooking an da crispy pea.

Step 5: Cook for 10 minutes. Shake halfway through for even cooking. If you prefer crunchy peas, cook until golden brown.

Once cooked, take the peas out of the air fryer and serve.

Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or two. For longer storage, keep them in the fridge, but they may lose some crispiness.
