Prep time: <5 minutes
Cook time: 12 minutes
Air Fryer Temp: 375 degrees Fahrenheit
Servings: 4

Ingredients for Air Fryer Broccolini

  • 1 lbs. broccolini heads – Adjust the amount appropriately. I prefer to use fresh broccolini as it gives the best result in terms of taste and crispiness.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil – This helps in creating a crispy texture and prevents the broccolini from being too dry
  • Dash of salt – To taste
  • Dash of black pepper – I love the added taste of my broccolini being a tad spicy.
  • Lemon juice, optional

Instructions:

Step 1: Wash your broccolini and let the water drain.

Step 2: Remove the leaves off the stems.

Step 3: Cut off the end of the stems.

Step 4: Add the broccolini, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix until well combined.

Rinse the broccolini and pat dry. Trim the ends, and if the stalks are thick, slice them in half lengthwise for even cooking.

How do I know when the Broccolini is done?

The stalks should be tender, and the florets should be crispy and slightly browned.

Is air-frying Broccolini healthier than other cooking methods?

Air frying uses less oil than traditional frying, making it healthier while retaining flavor and texture.

Can I make this dish ahead of time? It’s best served fresh, but you can prep and season the Broccolini ahead of time and air fry it just before serving.

What can I serve with Crispy Air Fryer Broccolini?

It pairs well with a variety of dishes, like grilled chicken with potatoes, fish, pasta, or as a healthy snack on its own.
