Hello, today, I have a new concept for you! It is the air fryer pineapples! This is my new favorite way of preparing my pineapples because I can alter the taste to my absolute desire!

Yes, you can cook pineapples in the air fryer. This can be fresh, frozen, or canned pineapples. Cooking them in the air fryer adds a unique taste and even more sweetness. You can serve air-fried pineapples as appetizers, desserts, or even snacks.

Air Fryer Pineapple Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple – The main ingredient.
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional) – Adds sweetness.
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor (optional) – Adds flavor and taste to the pineapples.
  • 2 tablespoons of Melted Butter – Adds flavor and taste to the pineapples.
  • Brown sugar – Optional ( I skipped them as the pineapple I used is already sweet). It can be substituted for Maple or Honey.

Step 1: Peel the pineapple core (optional) or cut it into chunks or rings as desired.

Step 2: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Step 3: Toss the pineapple chunks, maple syrup, and melted butter to coat evenly. Be gentle with the mixing to prevent breaking the Pineapples.

Step 4: Sprinkle cinnamon over the pineapple for extra flavor.

Step 5: Arrange the pineapple pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is some space between them for proper airflow.

Step 6: Air fry for 12 – 16 minutes, flipping halfway through or until the pineapple is golden brown and slightly crispy.

NOTE – you do not need to spray the air fryer basket with oil, but you can use parchment paper to prevent the syrup from sticking to the air fryer basket.

Step 7: Serve immediately as a standalone snack or as a topping for desserts, salads, or main dishes.
