Quick Airfryer Baked Potato Recipe

How about a quick air fryer baked potatoes? I love how fast these get done and how crispy and yummy the baked potatoes are.

Since owning my Ninja Foodi air fryer, |I have enjoyed uniquely making my baked potatoes. This method is quick and easy. The finished result has never disappointed me. I am sure you will also enjoy this method. It promises a crisp, golden masterpiece with a fluffy, tender interior.

Ingredients for air fryer baked potatoes

  • 8 large Russet or baking potatoes
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: butter, sour cream, chives, and shredded cheese for topping

How to make baked potatoes in the air fryer

Step 1: Prep the Potatoes

Thoroughly wash the potatoes and pat them dry. Prick several holes in each potato using a fork.

Step 2: Season

Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.

Step 3: Place in the Microwave

Place the potatoes in the microwave for 6 – 8 Minutes (the length of time will depend on how big the potatoes are).

Step 4: Preheat Air Fryer

While the potatoes are in the microwave, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Step 5: Bake your potatoes

Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook for 15 – 20 minutes, turning halfway through, or until the skin is crisp and the inside is tender when tested with a fork.

Step 6: Serve

Cut a small cross on top of each potato and apply your choice of toppings, such as butter, sour cream, chives, or shredded cheese.

  • Serve your air fryer baked potatoes with a side of steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
  • I enjoy serving mine with butter, cheese, and some spring onions.

Do I have to use Russet potatoes?

While Russet potatoes are ideal due to their high starch content, other large baking potatoes will work.

Can I store leftover baked potatoes?

Yes, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Can I reheat them in the air fryer?

Absolutely! Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and heat for about 5 minutes. Remember to shake the potatoes halfway through.
