Ingredients for the No-bake Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake

Chocolate cookie pie crust – I used Oreo crust

Whipped topping

Cream cheese – You can substitute this with (Greek yogurt for a healthier, lighter, creamy cheesecake) or sour cream.

Sugar – I used the powdered form

Vanilla – My preferred flavor. You can substitute with another flavor of choice

Chocolate chips – I used the mini chips

Cherry pie filling

How to Make the No-bake Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake

Preparing the Crust

  • You can use any chocolate cookie pie crust; this recipe uses Oreo cookie crust. To make this Vegan-friendly, use graham crackers. 
  • To make your crust, mix graham cracker crumbs or Oreo crust (crush your Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and combine with melted butter and sugar in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Once set, remove from the springform pan.

Create the Cream Cheese Mixture for the cheesecake batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Check for stiff peaks and a beautiful creamy texture. Set aside.
  • Beat just until incorporated. 

Combine:

  • Add vanilla extract into that same large bowl. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Add the mini chocolate chips and stir to combine a perfect combination.

Assemble the Cheesecake:

  • Divide the mixture into two halves and spread until smooth and even.
  • Spread the cream filling over each of the chilled crusts. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Add the Cherry Topping:

  • Using a spoon, carefully add the cherry pie filling over the top of the pies.

Serve:

  • Once set, remove from the springform pan and serve chilled.

Yes! Use gluten-free graham crackers for the crust.

Is there a substitute for heavy whipping cream?

A: You can use a whipped topping like Cool Whip as an alternative.

Can I use fresh cherries instead of cherry pie filling?

Absolutely! Fresh cherries can be used, but you might want to add some sugar or make a fresh cherry compote for the topping.

How to store leftover cherry chip cheesecake

Keep in an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator. It can last up to 5 days if covered properly.

  • Crust: Try using crushed Oreos or digestive biscuits for a different flavor.
  • Cream Cheese: For a lighter version, use low-fat or Neufchatel cheese.
  • Sugar: Maple syrup or honey can be used in the crust as a natural sweetener.

  • 2 9 inch chocolate cookie pie crust – Oreo crust
  • 1 8-ounce container whipped topping
  • 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, softened.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions
 

  • Get your chocolate cookie pie crust; this recipe uses premade. Oreo cookie crust.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Check for stiff peaks and a beautiful creamy texture. Set aside.

  • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set.
